LACKAWANNA COUNTY -- It was a chilly and blustery day at the Shoppes at Montage on Monday as shoppers hurried from their cars to get inside a warm store.

“It's so cold!” said Chelsea Maloney from Clarks Summit.

“It's very, very cold, and I'm from Philadelphia, so I'm really cold!” said Ashley Legg.

“It was crazy this morning. The wind was nuts,” said Roxanne Locker from Scranton.

The blast of wintry weather may be even harder to take since just a few days ago, people were soaking up the sun.

On Friday, as temperatures hit the 60s, some folks were even wearing shorts. Saturday was even warmer, with the thermostat getting into the 70s. Then by Sunday, we had snow on the ground.

“It was beautiful. Saturday was amazing for the most part, and then today, it's kind of gross,” said Amanda Finch from Dunmore.

“We were outside. My grandson was playing in the dirt. We had a blast, and then at night, you had to have your coat,” said Carol Lewis from Wilkes-Barre. “It's crazy.”

“That day I was wearing shorts and I was riding in my car with the windows down and then it started snowing. It's really confusing,” said Maloney.

“I would say what a change!” said Ed Kodish from Nicholson. “70 degrees on Saturday, putting up the roof with a t-shirt, and by six o'clock, we had our winter coats on and five inches of snow.”

“Absolutely, it was gorgeous. Nobody had jackets on. I was here on Saturday. No one had jackets on,” said Locker.

Shoppers we spoke with say this is just a reminder that winter is around the corner.

“What are you going to do? It's November,” said Locker.

“There's a definite chill in the air, but it's winter, so I think that's what we can all expect anyway,” said Finch.

“We're ready for it. I was just looking at Montage and I was just thinking, they'll be making snow soon,” said Kodish.
