A not so typical shopping showdown gets underway Thursday morning and it's all to make sure people's plates are packed for Thanksgiving.
A giant shopping cart will be driving across our area on Thursday, November 17 and Friday, November 18.
The motorized and street approved cart is all part Prospector's "Pantry Raid." The Rock 107 morning show host will head to different Gerrity's locations and other business in the shopping cart to try and fill the cart and raise money.
All of the food and money collected during Thursday's and Friday's event will go to area food banks.
Prospector will begin the raid at the Gerrity's on Keyser Avenue in Scranton on Thursday, November 17, at 5:30 a.m. and end at the Gerrity's in West Scranton at 6 p.m. on Thursday.
Friday's raid will begin at the Gerrity's on Birney Avenue in Moosic and end at the Gerrity's in Hanover Township where a wrap-up party will take place.
