SCRANTON -- An early morning fire in Scranton sent three people to the hospital.

Fire crews were called to the place on Putnam Street around 2:30 Wednesday morning.

A mother and her two eight-year-old daughters were taken to the hospital to be checked out for breathing in smoke.

The fire inspector is expected to look into how that fire got its start here in Scranton.
