GAMBLE TOWNSHIP - A gasoline pipeline damaged during flash flooding last month in Lycoming County is now in operation again. The pipeline was damaged when part of a bridge was washed into it during flooding along Wallis Run.
Sunoco Logistics said the pipeline has been repaired and is once again seeing a flow of gas between Sinking Spring, Pa and Buffalo, NY.
Water monitoring along the nearby Loyalsock Creek and then the Susquehanna River showed no serious problems after the leak. Sunoco officials believe when part of the bridge washed out, it hit the pipeline under the stream.
