A lot of viewers have been taking advantage of this weekend’s “supermoon” to take some great pictures of the moon.
A “supermoon” occurs when the moon becomes full on the same days as its perigee, which is the point in the moon’s orbit when it is closest to Earth.
Astronomers say this month’s supermoon will be the biggest so far of the 21st century. The last time having been in 1948.
If you miss it, your next chance to see a supermoon this close won’t come until 2034.
