SCRANTON -- Facebook has now gotten in on the election game, offering users a peek at everything they will have to pick from on the ballot.
To see if it was making a splash, we visited a place where you're sure to see someone looking at a screen. Most University of Scranton students we talked to had already scrolled past the voting banner on their Facebook pages.
"I think it could be helpful for someone like me who has never voted before. So, at least I can get a view of what the ballot looks like," said Nicolette Spaccavento.
The university is full of first-time voters and ones registered to vote back home. The Facebook function allows you to use your address to find your local ballot.
Some users had trouble finding the practice ballot. We searched the word "voting" and that seemed to work.
Nicole Hyduck and her friends from Bucks County plan to go home next week to cast their ballots. They practiced on Facebook first.
"Being away at school, it's nice to see what's happening at home and how the election is going. And it's cool to see everything, it's right here in my hand on something I'm on every day. It's easy," said Hyduck.
"I haven't really, I've never voted before so it might help to know how to vote on November 8," said Alex Mayer.
According to Facebook, the information it collects won't be given to any of the campaigns. Facebook will hold on to it for 60 days.
Twitter is also providing information on how to vote by sending a direct message to Twitter Government @gov.
