SCRANTON -- Smoke forced some post office patrons out of the Stafford Avenue post office in Scranton Tuesday afternoon.

Just after noon, the lobby of the post office filled with smoke. Firefighters didn't find any flames.

They told us the smoke was caused by a broken heating unit.

Postal workers allowed the smoke to clear out before reopening the post office about an hour later.
