HAZLETON -- A stone monument was unveiled at Hazleton City Hall in memory of one of the city's former K-9 units.
The 11-year-old German Shepherd named Griz passed away in July of 2016 after complications with surgery.
Griz worked alongside his handler, Sergeant Kirk Wetzel for more than 10 years.
"It's a nice gesture of the community, and for the dog himself," commented Sergeant Wetzel.
Griz was known for work in narcotics, leaving a paw print in the heart of the city of Hazleton.
