WILKES-BARRE — Work along a busy street in Wilkes-Barre could tie up traffic on Wednesday and Friday.
According to PennDOT, the northbound lane of River Street between Market and Union Streets is scheduled to be closed from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Wednesday while crews install a new inlet and pipes.
All traffic will have to use the southbound lane and will be directed by a flagger.
Then on Friday, PennDOT plans to close the northbound lane in the same stretch while workers pave the road.
Drivers should expect delays during those time.
PennDOT added that all the work depends on the weather.
