SCRANTON -- A man from Lackawanna County proved age is just a number by setting a record for his age group in the Steamtown Marathon.
Tony Cerminaro of Jermyn was honored with a certificate Wednesday morning by the Lackawanna County commissioners for setting the national age group record in the Steamtown Marathon.
Cerminaro set the record for the 80 to 84 age group with a time of three hours, 57 minutes, and 25 seconds.
The 80 year old has competed in more than 100 marathons and laces up for the Steamtown Marathon each year.
