SCRANTON -- Air quality tests have come back normal, meaning classes will resume Tuesday at George Bancroft Elementary in Scranton.
Testing last week revealed an issue at the school on Albright Avenue.
School officials hired a cleaning service to sterilize the building over the weekend.
The air was tested on Monday and everything came back normal.
Scranton School District Superintendent Alexis T. Kirijan said classes will begin on a one-and-a-half-hour delay to allow teachers time to resettle into their classrooms.
“We are looking forward to getting back to the business of teaching and learning tomorrow,” Kirijan said in a statement. “It was a great team effort from the faculty, staff and administrators. I would especially like to thank the George Bancroft community for their patience and understanding over the last few days.”
Classes are set to resume at 9:40 a.m. Tuesday.
