SCRANTON -- Police say a person learning to drive hit a parked car then crashed into a building in Scranton.

The car first hit a parked car on the 1000 block of Prospect Avenue around 5 a.m. Saturday. The driver then hit the front wall of the building.

Officers said the driver was cited.

The first floor of the building is closed off until repairs can be made.

The people who live there will have to find somewhere else to stay.
