EAST STROUDSBURG Penn State head football coach James Franklin was honored at his alma mater on Saturday.
As part of homecoming weekend at East Stroudsburg University, Franklin and several others were inducted the school's annual Hall of Fame class.
During his collegiate career, Franklin was a four-year letterman at quarterback and set several school records at ESU.
Franklin told Newswatch 16 he was happy to share this moment with his family.
“East Stroudsburg has always meant so much to me,” Franklin said. “It’s all about family, and I'm blessed with my wife and my two daughters. It makes it even more so special.”
After a short ceremony, Franklin and the other inductees were also honored during ESU's game against Kutztown.
