BLOOMSBURG -- You can now expect a ticket if you don't feed the meters in downtown Bloomsburg on Saturdays.

Last month, town council voted in favor of meter parking on Saturdays, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The change went into effect right after the vote, but officers were only handing out warnings until the proper signs were in place.

As of October 15, those signs were up and you must now pay to park or pay up on Saturdays in Bloomsburg.

If a college student can afford to bring a car to a campus that is small enough to walk, then that college student can afford a quarter.
