BERWICK -- The Berwick Riverfest has become an annual fall attraction in Columbia County. The event coincides with growing interest to promote the area along the Susquehanna River.

From pig races, ice cream, grilled stickies with walnuts, and Philly cheesesteaks, the Riverfest at Test Track Park in Berwick offers something for the whole family to enjoy.

The sixth annual Riverfest has hundreds of vendors, including some from Hershey all the way to upstate New York.

"This is live fall foliage thing, Riverfest thing. We wanted to take advantage of the beautiful Susquehanna River and we have a great canopy here," said Alvin Hill.

The fair goes on all weekend and organizers expect 50,000 people to walk through this weekend. On Saturday and Sunday, there are airboat rides along the Susquehanna River, a car cruise-in, and fireworks.

"It's a town community event so we get to run into the vendors and everything and see a lot of our friends that we work with every day," said Camille Laubach.

Riverfest was created to put people down in the Test Track Park and have a nice atmosphere with vendors and crafters. Since parking and admission are free, officials say people can spend more time and at the games.

"It's awesome, it's cheap, cheaper than going to a restaurant or something. You get homemade food," said David Johnson.

Riverfest in Berwick continues through Sunday night.
