STROUDSBURG -- Bubbling water in a creek in Stroudsburg was caused by a gas leak, according to officials with the gas company.

UGI confirms a 3-inch gas line had a leak.

A man fishing with his children Monday morning noticed water bubbling in McMichaels Creek near South 8th Street and called 911.

UGI said the leak caused no threat to the environment.
