MOOSIC -- Teams gathered in Lackawanna County to walk to end Alzheimer’s.

The annual two-mile walk for the Alzheimer’s Association was held at PNC Field in Moosic Saturday morning.

Teams raised more than $100,000 for Alzheimer's research leading up to the walk.

"It does an incredible job to not just raise money for this disease, but just looking at the people who are gathered here today. It’s camaraderie. It’ friendship. It’s someone to lean on because no one can walk this journey alone," said Teresa Osborne, Pennsylvania Secretary of Aging.

Newswatch 16’s Jim Coles served as emcee for the event. Jim lost his father to Alzheimer's disease.
