The Scranton Cultural Center is prepping to host an Oktoberfest-themed event billed as the 100 for $100 Raffle Party. The fundraiser involves the sale of 1,000 raffle tickets with a chance to win 100 plus prizes valued at $100 or more. There are more than $40, 000 dollars worth of cash and prizes. Newswatch 16's Ryan Leckey got a preview of the October 7 event Thursday on Newswatch 16 This Morning.

The money raised from the big raffle benefits the Scranton Cultural Center. It's located at 420 North Washington Avenue in the Electric City. The nonprofit plans to use the funds from Friday's event to continue building renovations and mostly support children's programming. The raffle tickets are $100.00 and include your entry to Friday's Oktoberfest themed party. If you don't want to buy a raffle, but still want to attend the party the cost is $35.00.
