SCRANTON — A man from Scranton accused of raping a 9-year-old girl has been sentenced to prison.
A judge sentenced Karna Rai, 60, to 18-23 months behind bars. Rai pleaded guilty to a felony count of corruption of minors earlier this year.
Rai is a native of Nepal and will have to register as a sex offender in the U.S.
Officials say once he is released from prison, he will likely be deported.
