Driver Dies after Wayne County Crash

DYBERRY TOWNSHIP – A man is dead after a crash in Wayne County, according to state police.

It happened around 1:30 p.m. Tuesday on Route 191 north of Honesdale.

Authorities said the driver of a minivan, Kenneth Thompson, 55, of Honesdale, lost control and hit some trees and a guide rail.

According to the coroner, Thompson died of a medical condition he suffered before crashing his vehicle.

Traffic in the area has been detoured.

A dog in the vehicle was taken to a veterinarian.
