SCRANTON -- The Parents of Down Syndrome of Northeastern Pennsylvania (PODS) hosted its annual Buddy Walk in Scranton on Sunday.
The event at Nay Aug Park featured speakers and activities involving people with Down syndrome.
All of the participants then walked around the park with their buddies.
“Down syndrome children, young adults, and adults all come together today, embrace each other, and enjoy the day," said Bert Morgan, president of PODS.
The Parents of Down Syndrome of Northeastern Pennsylvania is an affiliate of the Arc of Northeastern Pennsylvania.
This was the 15th year for the Buddy Walk in Scranton.
