WILLIAMSPORT -- The ribbon was cut on Friday, symbolizing the opening of a brand new Goodwill store in downtown Williamsport.

Most Goodwill stores are thrift shops offering affordable items, either new or used, that have been donated.

Williamsport's mayor says the opening of the store on Hepburn Street is just the beginning of a bigger project to rebuild the neighborhood.

The shop added 20 new jobs, and officially opened on September 17.
