WILKES-BARRE -- Police in Wilkes-Barre say a thief left empty-handed after he tried to hold up a convenience store.

Authorities say a man wearing a skull mask waved a gun and demanded money from the clerk at the Turkey Hill on Hazle Street just after 1 a.m. on Thursday.

No one was hurt, and nothing was stolen here in Wilkes-Barre.

    They need to close that turkey hill, or get a armed security guard,,,ie ex cop…..before someone gets killed. That’s evenually what’s gonna happen. Of course the owners don’t care about their employees at 7 or 8 bucks an hour. They are completely replaceable.
