ROSS TOWNSHIP -- Police and the coroner were called a home in Monroe County.
More than 30 state troopers from several departments and numerous other law enforcement officials swarmed a house on Woodhaven Road near Saylorsburg around noon Wednesday.
What prompted the large response is unknown, but it was clear they were looking for something. Heavy machinery was brought out as troopers began digging up the backyard.
Investigators could be seen sifting through evidence under a tent as others bagged up items into envelopes.
The Monroe County coroner, the first assistant district attorney, a forensic pathologist, and the game commission were also called to the house. They have all since left for the night.
There is no word from officials on why they were at the home.
Property tax records show the home is listed to a Michael and Cathy Horvath.
Before the coroner left, he said there would be no information released at this time and that state police would return on Thursday.
