SCRANTON -- Police in Scranton have arrested a man for a string of burglaries in Lackawanna County.

Thomas Brown, 40, of Scranton, faces several charges including theft and burglary. The charges relate to several break-ins at various places in Scranton, many in the Minooka section.

Brown was arrested last week for a break-in at Diskin's Saloon. On Tuesday, police hit Brown with charges for a list of other burglaries.

Police included this list of businesses allegedly burglarized by Brown.

  • Castaldi's Market, Birney Avenue, Scranton, on August 11, 2016
  • Diskin's Saloon, Birney Avenue, Scranton, on August 22, 2016
  • Unimart, Pittston Avenue, Scranton, on August 22, 2016
  • Diskin's Saloon, Birney Avenue, Scranton, on September 20, 2016

Brown is currently locked up in Lackawanna County. In addition to the crimes he is charged with, police say Brown is also a person of interest in other break-ins and more charges are possible.
