WILKES-BARRE -- Four members of the U.S. Olympic team were honored at the Luzerne County Courthouse in Wilkes-Barre Tuesday evening.
Paige Selenski, Kathleen Sharkey, and Kelsey Kolojejchick all competed for the American field hockey team in the Rio games. Casey Eichfeld competed in canoeing.
All four went to high school in Luzerne County.
Selenski and Eichfeld were not in attendance, but the four all received proclamations commending them for their athletic feats.
The U.S. women’s field hockey team placed fifth at the Olympics.
