Hazleton Stabbing Suspect Pleads Guilty

HAZLETON — A 24-year-old man from Hazleton pleaded guilty on Monday to third degree murder.

Amir Edwards admitted to the stabbing death of Zachary Richards after the two men had an argument in the city two years ago.

Richards was found at a home on Cleveland Street in the city in September 2014 with a knife sticking out of his back.

Edwards also pleaded guilty to aggravated assault, robbery, and other related charges.
