WILKES-BARRE -- A man will spend two-and-a-half to six years in prison for animal cruelty, perjury and other charges.
According to court papers, Michael Craige lied about having a dying sister to get out of jail. Craige is also accused of throwing a sealed box containing ferrets into the Susquehanna River in 2015 in Luzerne County.
Craige was sentenced Tuesday after pleading guilty.
