LOYALSOCK TOWNSHIP -- A man is locked up after crashing into a store in Lycoming County while running from police.

State police said Anthony Barasky, 26, was speeding in Williamsport around 1:30 p.m. Monday. When officers tried to stop him, he took off.

Troopers said Barasky ended up crashing into the children’s section of Kmart in Loyalsock Township, got out, and ran. Police caught up with him a few miles away. Police also found heroin, $500 in cash, and a cell phone nearby.

No one in the store was hurt, and the store was able to stay open but some sections are closed off.

Barasky faces charges of fleeing and possession of drug paraphernalia.

He's locked up in Lycoming County on $250,000 bail.
