The Race For The Cure is this Saturday, September 17, in downtown Scranton. The 26th annual event steps off at 8:30 a.m. The 5K raises money for the Susan G. Komen affiliate of northeastern Pennsylvania. Seventy-five percent of the proceeds stay local. The cash collected helps fund direct services to uninsured and under-served women and men throughout northeastern Pennsylvania. The remaining 25% of the proceeds goes toward cutting edge research.
