NORTH ABINGTON TOWNSHIP -- Detour or no detour,  Roba Family Farms officially opens on Friday. Farmers have been working for months trying to get everything ready for the thousands of people they expect to visit.

"We have irrigation, so we were able to water. We've got 50-60 acres of beautiful pumpkins," said Sue Roba.

Despite the detour, Sue Roba, owner of Roba Family Farms, believes it will be packed with eager pumpkin pickers this season. In its 23

In its 23 years, Roba has never faced a detour. They are hoping the extra traffic doesn't scare people away.

"The best thing I can tell people is if you take 81 you can get off the Waverly exit 197. If there's a lot of traffic on 81, you can get here on Clarks Summit and follow 407," said Roba.

Roba Family Farms has everything from games to petting zoos, pig races, and jumping pillows and a five-acre maze which by itself can be up to two hours of fun.

"This year it's great. It's getting lost with the Peanuts gang, so it's going to be exciting. We're looking forward to that celebrating their 50th anniversary with them," Roba told Newswatch 16.
