Lockdown at Montrose Schools

MONTROSE -- Schools in the Montrose Area School District were on lockdown for a time on Monday.

The Susquehanna County Sheriff’s Office says its office received word of threats against specific individuals within the schools.

The sheriff’s office says it was not a general threat, but deputies locked down the schools until the people specified in the threat could be removed from the buildings.

The Susquehanna County district attorney said at this time, there is no known continuing threat to the safety of students or faculty.

State police are investigating in Susquehanna County.
