FRACKVILLE -- A former North Schuylkill sixth grade teacher is headed to jail after pleading no contest to indecent contact with a student.
Melinda Trezise, 40, of Cressona was arrested in July of 2015 for allegedly having sex with a 13-year-old boy.
Trezise pleaded no contest Wednesday to indecent assault and corruption of minors. She was sentenced to two to 23 months in jail and three years of probation.
Trezise resigned as a sixth-grade teacher at North Schuylkill Elementary before being charged.
A previous version of this story indicated that Trezise pleaded guilty. That was not correct.
