SCRANTON -- A father was sentenced for the death of his baby in Lackawanna County.
A judge sentenced Anthony Donvito to at least 11 and a half months in prison. He pleaded guilty in March to reckless endangerment.
Prosecutors say Donvito and the baby's mother, Amanda Salvatori, fell asleep with the child in their bed in Scranton last year.
The one month old died, possibly from suffocation.
Drug tests revealed Donvito and Salvatori took prescription drugs before they fell asleep.
Salvatori pleaded guilty in the spring and was sentenced to house arrest and probation.
