SCRANTON -- Hundreds were on board for a celebration of trains which kicked off Saturday in Lackawanna County.

The event showcased different railroad displays from Delaware, Erie, and even Lehigh Valley. Railfest hosted many activities including a train ride to Moscow and a caboose hop.

"It's pretty cool to see everybody, like you don't really hear of people who love trains and that'll do a lot to help out the trains and everything. I just love seeing everyone coming out and support," said Gregory Krieg of Lennoxville.

Charles Liberto was named the event's Grand Marshal.

Liberto is a retired trainman from Philadelphia who worked for the Reading Railroad.

Railfest will chug on until Sunday in Scranton.
