HARRISBURG -- The former head of security for state attorney general Kathleen Kane has been fired from the attorney general's office.
Patrick Reese, a senior supervisory special agent, was fired, along with chief of staff Jonathan Duecker.
Reese is the former Dunmore police chief and former driver and head of Kathleen Kane's security detail.
Reese was convicted of indirect criminal contempt for snooping through email in the attorney general's office to find information on a grand jury investigation of his boss Kathleen Kane.
Even though he was sentenced to three to six months this spring, he is out while he appeals his case, which is expected to be ruled on in late October or early November.
Kane resigned as attorney general after her conviction on perjury charges in Montgomery County court last month.
