Bank Robbed in Luzerne County

HUGHESTOWN -- Police are looking for a bank robber in Luzerne County.

Officers said a man walked into M&T Bank in Hughestown just after 2:30 p.m. Tuesday and demanded money from a teller. The man did not show a weapon.

The robber got away with some money and was seen running into the woods across from the bank.

On Wednesday, police were out collecting evidence near the bank. Officers did not say what they found, but did say they have some leads.

Investigators released surveillance pictures of the robbery.

The robber is described as a male in his early to mid 20s, with a slender build, approx 5'5" to 5'8", clean shaven, and having a dark complexion.
