Restaurant Workers in Wayne County Donate Their Pay to Fight Cancer

HAMLIN -- Workers at a restaurant in Wayne County donated their pay to charity.

The dinner rush packed John's Italian Restaurant in Hamlin Saturday evening for its 11th annual “Tips for a Cure” fundraiser.

For the fundraiser each year, members of the wait staff donate their tips and wages to help in the fight against cancer.

This year, the money will go to local charities that help pay for cancer treatment costs.

Money from basket raffles and t-shirt sales will also go to charity.
