PLYMOUTH TOWNSHIP -- A crash in Luzerne County Friday morning damaged a restaurant and sent two people to the hospital.
It happened around 7:30 a.m. at Stookey's Bar-B-Que on Route 11 near West Nanticoke.
A car collided with a tractor-trailer in front of the restaurant and slammed into the building.
Both drivers were taken to the hospital.
The owner of the restaurant thinks the building may have been knocked off its foundation.
"The building took a significant impact. It moved the whole one part of the building so much it jammed the doors closed!" said owner Ralph Frank. "We are waiting now to see what the results are going to be. We are going to be closed for a little bit, I think."
The owner tells Newswatch 16 he believes the restaurant will be shut down at least a week.
