PLAINS TOWNSHIP -- It has happened again, four malnourished dogs abandoned on the side of a road this time in Luzerne County.
Officials at the SPCA near Wilkes-Barre told Newswatch 16 the American Pit Bull mix dogs were found at different locations near Old River and Richmont Avenue in Wilkes-Barre.
According to the veterinarian, the dogs are all extremely malnourished and were left with no food.
The SPCA hopes to have the public's help in searching for the owners of the dogs. Officials say they could be cited for abandonment.
Five puppies were found last Saturday, abandoned off a trail in Lackawanna County.
