Going from boots to business! Dress For Success Luzerne County is getting the word out today about an upcoming program aimed at helping women warriors return from a war zone and into the workforce. Organizers of the new program in the Wilkes-Barre area call it “Project Deployed To Employed.”
Some statistics show “for the first time in the history of the United States, 12% of all combat veterans returning to civilian life are women. Those women have a much greater risk of becoming homeless and drug and alcohol dependent than their male counterparts.”
