SCRANTON -- Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton and Vice President Joe Biden are set to take the stage at Scranton's Riverfront Sports complex at 12:45 p.m. Monday.

The inside of Riverfront Sports Complex started to fill up Monday afternoon as supporters came out to hear Clinton and Biden speak.

Supporters began lining up outside as early as 7 a.m. The line circled the plaza.

The Clinton campaign said about 4,000 people requested tickets online. The campaign said it expected to be able to get all of those supporters inside for the event.

“You have to get behind the candidate you believe in, and we believe she’s definitely the best choice for labor, and that’s why we’re here,” said Warren Faust of Wilkes-Barre Township.

A few protesters who support Donald Trump for president also showed up.

The Trump supporters also carried signs including saying, Hillary for prison.

There were no reports of any confrontation between the Trump and Clinton supporters.

Clinton greeted Biden at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport right around noon as the vice president arrived on Air Force Two. There is no word from the campaign if the two will make any other stops during their visit to Scranton.
