AVOCA -- A global computer system outage left hundreds of thousands of Delta customers stranded at airports Monday.

At the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport, no travelers were camped out, but there was frustration and some aggravation at the Delta counter.

"Just found out that it was canceled so now I'm just trying to scramble and figure out where I go from here,” said Sierra Ferreira of Arizona.

"People depend on these flights to get home and I think it's tough when you don't have any warning or heads-up. I guess it's on me a little bit but it's unfortunate because I depended on getting a flight and now I have to scramble a little bit,” she added.

"We got to the desk and it's 'oh, that flight has been canceled or we've rescheduled you for tomorrow.' thanks for telling me. You know you wait until I get over here, why don't you call me or drop a line on my cell phone? It's not that hard,” said James Billard of Honesdale.

"Computers are computers, people have to realize sometimes things crash no matter how much you try to avoid it, it's going to happen. It's just gonna happen,” said traveler Doug Roadarmel of Florida. He was on an Allegiant flight and says he avoids Delta.

Delta officials say they are offering refunds to customers on flights that have been canceled or "significantly delayed."

"There's a lot of frustration, it doesn't bother me like it used to years ago. It is what it is,” said Sue Wilmot of Florida.
