SCRANTON -- Dogs walked, ran and played in Nay Aug Park on Sunday.

One Life to Live Pet Rescue held its 2nd Annual Four-Legged Friends 5K run and walk Sunday morning at Nay Aug Park.

More than 100 runners and their furry friends came out to run the route.

The organization works to save shelter dogs on kill lists by finding them loving homes.

This event is the non-profit's biggest fundraiser and helps defray their operating costs, which organizers say can quickly add up.

“Very expensive. We try to provide our foster home with whatever they need, whatever they ask for. We're always in need of donations, food, crates, toys, you know, always something,” said Debbie Stezar, the Director of One Life to Live Pet Rescue and Adoption.

One Life to Live is also planning to have an adoption event at Tractor Supply in Taylor in the fall.
