LACKAWANNA COUNTY -- Both lanes of Interstate 81 south were shut down Friday morning after a couple of crashes in Lackawanna County.
The first happened just after 4 a.m. Friday when a bus and pickup collided near Clarks Summit.
The pickup flipped and two people inside were taken to the hospital.
None of the 29 people on the bus were hurt.
Then, a tractor trailer slammed into a flatbed and a tow truck as that first crash was being cleaned up.
Officials say the driver of the flatbed was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Authorities don't believe the driver of the big rig was badly hurt.
Both travels lanes are shut down, but the shoulder is open for traveling.
The area of the crashes was cleared by about 1 p.m. Friday.
