SCRANTON -- Thursday night, Hillary Clinton will make history in the birthplace of America. The granddaughter of a Scranton lace worker will become the first woman to ever accept the nomination of a major American party for president.
U.S. Senator Bob Casey from Scranton is at the convention in Philadelphia, where he spoke to Newswatch 16.
"The first time in 228 years that a woman is nominated for president by either party, it's a significant moment in history and I believe that kind of momentum and energy coming out of the convention will help Secretary Clinton," Casey said.
