MONTGOMERY COUNTY -- Lawyers for State Attorney General Kathleen Kane lost a court fight today.
A judge ruled they cannot use racy emails as part of her criminal defense.
Kane, a Scranton native, faces perjury and other charges.
Prosecutors in Montgomery County, near Philadelphia believe Kane leaked secret grand jury information and then lied about it under oath.

Kane uncovered racy emails sent between state officials and employees while in office.
Her lawyers wanted to use them as part of her defense.
Kane's trial is scheduled to start next month.
