WILKES-BARRE -- A falling branch from a damaged tree sent a DPW worker to the hospital in Wilkes-Barre.
It happened on Academy Street around 6 p.m. Monday.
Witnesses say the tree was damaged when the storm blew through, but when workers came by later to remove the damaged tree, a branch fell and hit one of the workers.
The crew on the scene said his injury was minor and he is expected to be OK.
