BUTLER TOWNSHIP — Police in Luzerne County arrested a man on charges he attacked his girlfriend.
According to authorities, Carlos Tavarez punched and choked the woman early Monday morning at an apartment near Hazleton.
Police say he fled the area before they arrived, but later caught up with the man to take him into custody.
Tavarez is locked up on assault charges in Luzerne County.
