UPDATE: According to the coroner, the young boy that died in Tuesday's crash was seven years old.

The coroner is not releasing his name.

Officials say the Heasley's were married. Their five-year-old son survived the crash. He suffered a broken collarbone.

BURLINGTON TOWNSHIP -- Three people, including a young boy, died in a crash in Bradford County Tuesday afternoon.

State police say one car driven by Phillip Frisbie of Towanda crossed over and hit another car along the Burlington Turnpike near Walborn Road in Towanda.

Troopers haven't identified the child in Frisbie's car who died at a nearby hospital.

The others killed in the crash are Clifton and Sarah Heasley from Towanda.

"I thought it was my neighbor's barn on fire until I got right at the intersection and what I could see looked pretty bad," said Sue Saxon, who lives right around the corner where it happened. Sue and Ernie Saxon have lived in the area for more than 40 years and couldn't believe it seeing the black smoke seep into the sky after the Heasley's car caught fire.

They admitted the straightaway where the crash happened is a common spot for speeding and people passing other cars.

"In either direction, there's a long hill then a flat," said Ernie Saxon. "They take advantage of the flat whether its a good idea or not. Everybody is in a hurry."

State police have not released why Frisbie's car crossed over, only to say it was for "unknown reasons."

The Bradford County District Attorney says charges are possible, but it is too soon to tell as the investigation continues.
